Social Media–Enough to drive you crazy….and so necessary during “Covid Time”
OK, so here is the deal. I am learning to live with it. Ha. It is potentially so overwhelming and takes a tremendous amount of time and energy. I am not sure that anyone really masters the subject. The plan is always changing.
What plan? Every plan. Change is constant and that is part of the many issues. The algorithms change, the customers are constantly distracted. In addition, they constantly need to appear to be attended to, (there are ways to automate posts = more apps) and sites like Instagram are monsters to feed. If you don’t feed them regularly, they will just slowly die.
Posts must be kept current to show up in the algorithms, which means producing more content. And you are graded on your “content”. It’s a little exhausting.
Most people with helpful videos regarding all kinds of social media want to sell you something–so how do you know if their advice is current and valid?
I located an expert on YouTube, a real professional, and not an 18-year-old wonder. Ha. An 18-year-old millionaire wonder…. Just sayin’.
Perhaps Jerry Potter will be as helpful to you as he has been to me. So much current and helpful information, friendly and efficient.
One day I may sign up for one of his programs, which includes his personal attention. Soon I will have the time to fully concentrate on this area, and when I do, I will look at his class.
In the meantime, I will use his impressive and free video library to help me through the basics.
I hope this is helpful as your stores work to reopen, stronger than before.
Here is a quick clip of Jerry Potter “5 Minute Social Media” on Instagram Stories.
Hope this is helpful!
